Accessibility

QME Evaluators is built to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Built-in display controls

The Display settings button in the lower-right corner of every page turns on larger text and a high-contrast colour scheme. Your choice is remembered in this browser until you change it or clear your browser storage.

Keyboard and screen readers

  • Every page starts with a "Skip to main content" link that appears on first Tab.
  • All links, buttons, filters and form fields are reachable by keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
  • Pages use one H1 and ordered headings, with labelled form controls and landmark regions.
  • Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative imagery is not used.
  • The site works without JavaScript for reading listings, since pages are server-rendered.

Known limitations

Listing text is reproduced from the state's public records, including its capitalisation and abbreviations, so some addresses read awkwardly in a screen reader. We do not edit record content.

If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, tell us what page and what happened at info@qmeevaluators.com and we will work to fix it.
